Active Membership Requirements
This year, Pre-Law Club and Pre-Law Honors Society have decided to introduce an active membership program. If a member is active for a full year, they will be eligible to pay a reduced membership fee for the following year. Active members are also more likely to be chosen for leadership positions within the club because they show dedication and commitment to the club.
You can view your attendance for each of our club meetings under the hours tab on our website. The attendance will be updated when after our third meeting of the year. If your name does not appear on our website after our third meeting, please let us know.
The requirements for each organization are listed below.
Pre-Law Club
Pre-Law Club requires that an active member earns eight points each semester. You must earn eight points each semester. Each member will receive one point for each event hosted by Pre-Law Club and two points for certain events.
Five of these points must come from Pre-Law Club Events. There will be sign in sheets at each Pre-Law Club meeting. Please make sure to sign in on the Pre-Law Club sign in sheets so you get your points.
The other three points can come from other Pre-Law events on campus. We will list the events that you can attend for your 3 Non-Pre-Law Club points on our calendar. We will have a sign in sheet at events hosted by the Pre-Law Advising Center. These events can count towards your 3 hours of non-Pre-Law Club meetings.
If you attend any other meeting, you should send an email to plcmembership@gmail.com. This email should include the date, time, and name of the event. You also need to provide a 3-4 sentence description of what the meeting was about.
